The Book of Common Prayer is the historic prayer book of the Church of England, in use since the sixteenth century. In its revised 1662 form, it has become one of the classic texts of the English language, its prayers and expressions making English what it is today.
This book uses Cambridge's 2004 setting of the Prayer Book, with a modern digital typeface that gives a very clear and readable printing image. The format and page layout match Cambridge's previous editions of the Book of Common Prayer page for page.
All the 1662 services are included, including the traditional forms of the baptism and marriage services.
This style is bound in black French Morocco leather and presented in a slipcase. It contains a presentation page and ribbon marker to keep the place.
